Welcome!Welcome to Many Plans, One Community, the online home for information about updates to Charlottesville and Albemarle County’s comprehensive plans, the Charlottesville-Albemarle MPO’s Long Range Transportation Plan, and the creation of a Livability Implementation Plan for our area. This site is intended to provide access to information about each plan and to provide a forum for public input throughout the planning process. This joint planning effort is the first of its kind in our region. Many Plans, One Community is being coordinated through the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission in order to maximize community engagement in the process and to encourage collaboration across municipal boundaries. Public participation is essential to this process – please take a moment to explore this site and give us your feedback. Facilities & Services Workshop February 23Please join us for the next workshop in the Community Outreach Series that will take place at CitySpace on Thursday, February 23 from 4 to 7 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to comment on existing City & County goals affecting community services such as police, fire & rescue, utilities, libraries, parks & recreation. Download the invitation A draft report summarizing the outcomes of the Performance Measurement System development process is now available for review. The report provides important baseline information about where we stand with respect to goals outlined in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County Comprehensive Plans. Feedback on the draft report can be submitted through the Comments page. The Common Land Use Map displays future land use for the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County with an overlay of the area's approved long range transportation projects. The map is intended to help facilitate coordinated planning in the City & County and to aid citizens in understanding the impact of land use & transportation decisions. Please take the time to let us know what you think! The Livability Partnership was created as a mechanism for community groups to provide input throughout the Livable Communities planning process. If your group is interested in being part of the Livability Partnership, please read the invitation letter, fill out the form on page 3, and return to TJPDC.
