About 1 Community

1 Community is a health and wellness program designed by a team of law enforcement officers and tactical performance professionals. The primary goal of the program is to provide law enforcement officers and instructors the tools to identify and address performance-related limitations common in the profession in order to reduce injury and chronic pain.

Led by Dr. Vincent Shaw, a board-certified Family and Sports Medicine physician, Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve and former SWAT trained deputy sheriff, a team of clinicians aim to improve quality of life on and off the job for officers. In addition to individual health improvements, agencies also experience a reduction in workers compensation claims and expenditures.
